Today AppsGonefree is featuring the program Foolproof Art Studio for iPhone. Usually $1.99, it’s free today. Since it is compatible with the iPad, I downloaded to try it out. This is another of those little apps that does not have heaps of features, but what it does it does easily and well. Choose a background and a brush size and get going. There is even an auto paint that did a nice job when I tried it out although it’s supposed to work best with faces.
I think it’s a good idea to use your own photos in school projects or in blogs whenever you can and this is another one of those photo programs that makes it easy to change a shot you take into something a bit different. The shot here is from a conference. I used Foolproof to bring emphasis to the hands and the computers while blurring out the faces. I decided to crop it as you can see in the second photo. Finally, I decided to use the Retrolux filter in a different program, SnapSeed which used to cost $5.00 but is now free, for the third photo. Click on the photos to get a larger view.
